In this seminar, Drs Naik and Staples will discuss their research examining trends in patient complexity over time and implications for healthcare providers and policymakers.

Hiten Naik is a general internal medicine physician and aspiring clinician scientist. He is a fellow in the UBC Clinician Investigator Program and is completing a Master’s in Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. John Staples is a general internal medicine physician at Vancouver General Hospital and a Health Professional-Investigator supported by Michael Smith Health Research BC. His research has been discussed in The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME and Newsweek.
