Patient Partner Registrations

We are working with our sponsors to cover registration for patient partners who wish to attend the conference. If you are interested in attending, please email with a short description of your background and experience as a patient partner and a statement explaining why the conference interests you. Please indicate whether you would like to attend in-person or virtually.

Student Registrations

Students must provide proof of current full-time enrollment when registering. Post-doctoral fellows are not considered students.

Shared Registrations

Registrations are for individual use only and cannot be shared.


Substitutions are welcome! In the event you have to cancel and cannot attend, please contact UBC CPD by email and confirm the name of the individual who will replace you at the conference.

Cancellation Policy

The Conference Organizers and their agents reserve the right to cancel the event up to ten (10) days prior to the event date. Each registrant will be notified by telephone, with written notification and a full refund following. The University of British Columbia is not responsible for any costs, including but not limited to airline or hotel penalties. If written notice of withdrawal and original receipt is received at UBC CPD before February 5, 2043, the registration fee will be refunded less a $50.00 CDN administrative charge. No refunds will be granted for withdrawal after this date, although a substitute delegate may attend at no additional cost. No refunds will be granted for any reason once the conference has commenced.

Switching Between In-Person and Virtual

  • Please contact UBC CPD by email to switch your registration.
  • Virtual to in-person: The upgraded amount will be charged.
  • In-person to virtual: Before Feb 5, 2024, the registration fee difference less a $50.00 CDN administrative charge will be refunded. After Feb 5, 2024, the registration fee difference less a $150.00 CDN administrative charge will be refunded.

Health and Safety, Including Consideration of COVID-19

We recommend all attendees be vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 and influenza, and request attendees self-monitor for illness. Please arrange to attend virtually if you are ill. A supply of KN95 masks will be provided and we ask all attendees to respect others’ masking decisions.

The Conference Organizers reserve the right to switch this event to a hybrid or fully virtual event up to the date of the event if provincial health orders severely restrict gatherings. If this occurs, registrants will have the option of cancelling their registration and receiving a full refund, or being refunded the difference between the registration fee they paid and a virtual registration fee of $150, without any handling charges.
