If you are interested in attending, please email chspr.reception@ubc.ca with a short description of your background and experience as a patient partner and a statement explaining why the conference interests you.

Student Registrations

Students must provide proof of current full-time enrollment when registering. Post-doctoral fellows are not considered students.

Travel Funding Opportunity

Students and new investigators wishing to travel to the CHSPR Annual Policy Conference (particularly those presenting at the event) may wish to consider applying for travel support from the CIHR Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR). Please see the Institute Community Support (ICS) Program on the IHSPR website for information about this program, which is designed to support community development, research and knowledge translation activities.

Shared Registrations

Registrations are for individual use only and cannot be shared.

Single Day Registrations

One day registration is not available.

Substitutions

Substitutions are welcome! In the event you have to cancel and cannot attend, please contact UBC CPD by email and confirm the name of the individual who will replace you at the conference.

Cancellation Policy

The Conference Organizers and their agents reserve the right to cancel the event up to ten (10) days prior to the event date. Each registrant will be notified by telephone, with written notification and a full refund following. The University of British Columbia is not responsible for any costs, including but not limited to airline or hotel penalties. If written notice of withdrawal and original receipt is received at UBC CHSPR before February 10, 2023, the registration fee will be refunded less a $75.00 CDN administrative charge. No refunds will be granted for withdrawal after this date, although a substitute delegate may attend at no additional cost. No refunds will be granted for any reason once the conference has commenced.

Consideration of COVID-19

The conference is planned to be in-person only. The planning committee is paying close attention to guidelines from the BC Provincial Government and the Provincial Health Officer (PHO) regarding gatherings and events. Should restrictions related to events, vaccination, and/or masks be reinstated, we will adapt our plans accordingly. The Conference Organizers reserve the right to switch this event to a hybrid or fully virtual event up to the date of the event if PHO orders severely restrict gatherings. If this occurs, registrants will have the option of cancelling their registration and receiving a full refund, or being refunded the difference between the registration fee they paid and a virtual registration fee of $100, without any handling charges.

We recommend all attendees be vaccinated and boosted, and request attendees self-monitor for symptoms and self-test prior to arrival. Please do not attend if you have a positive test, or if you develop symptoms associated with COVID-19. We strongly encourage all attendees to wear a high quality mask (e.g. KN95) when not eating. A supply of KN95 masks and COVID-19 rapid antigen tests will be provided.
